I'm still wearing the last of the "Three Pairs For $88" glasses that I bought about the time Evan was born.
They took a hit the day before yesterday when I was checking the transmission fluid on Taylor's car. I can't read up close with them on so I set them down to inspect the dip stick. When I was done checking, I slammed the hood down and the latch didn't catch. I open it back up and slammed it harder. Still didn't catch. Then it dawned on me that what was in the way was my glasses that I had set down there. Smashed them into a total mess.
BUT, I managed to push and pull and get the lenses back into the frame. Looks pretty spastic but these things just won't die.
